Provides clinical laboratory testing and phlebotomy services with accuracy and professionalism. Ensures quality control, specimen integrity, and regulatory compliance while supporting overall laboratory operations. Responsibilities:
- Perform waived and nonwaived laboratory tests accurately following established procedures.
- Collect skin, arterial, and venipuncture specimens, ensuring proper identification and labeling.
- Oversee and assist laboratory staff, including lab assistants, to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Manage specimens using EMR and LIS systems, including prompt entry and critical value notifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Support quality assurance activities, respond to variances, and implement safety protocols effectively.
- Hold a valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Possess basic computer proficiency and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
- Maintain professional grooming, hygiene, and certification standards consistently.
- Engage in continuous professional development through ongoing training and certification maintenance.
