Collaborate with innovative teams leveraging AI for financial efficiency.Job DescriptionFund Accounting Manager OverviewThe Fund Accounting Manager will oversee accounting and operational finance functions for investment and advisory businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.This role involves managing fund accounting, investor relations, and financial reporting, contributing to the firm’s strategic objectives and operational excellence.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless investment execution and transaction processes.Support the Controller in valuations, performance metrics, and investor-facing deliverables.Engage in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive informed decision-making.Implement and enhance internal controls, leveraging technology for efficiency and accuracy.Contribute to the firm’s evolving use of AI in financial processes and reporting.Fund Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities & DutiesMaintain accurate accounting records for management and advisory businesses, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.Coordinate with third-party administrators for accurate investor reporting and NAV calculations.Manage accounts payable, payroll, and receivables, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Assist in preparing financial metrics and data for marketing and fundraising initiatives.Support quarterly portfolio valuations and performance metric calculations, ensuring compliance with fund agreements.Coordinate audits and assist in preparing tax returns and compliance documentation.Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, and workflows for operational efficiency.Identify and implement process improvements, focusing on automation and AI integration.Fund Accounting Manager Job RequirementsBachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting, with 7 years preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and financial reporting requirements.Experience with investor relations, fund operations, and performance metric calculations.Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting processes.Familiarity with SEC regulations and compliance standards.Ability to implement and leverage AI and automation tools in financial processes.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
