Chief Medical Officer

the client is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to serve as the organization’s senior clinical leader and strategic partner within a triad leadership model. The role focuses on clinical quality, population health strategy, provider leadership, and integrating evidence-based practice across care settings. The client is undergoing a multi-year transformation to consolidate clinic sites and build an organization that is not only adequate, but excellent, with leadership that aligns clinical leadership with organizational leadership. the Chief Medical Officer will lead clinical quality strategy, including oversight of the quality, patient safety, and risk committee structure and performance workgroups across population health, care management, patient access, and infection control. Responsibilities also include provider recruitment, retention, credentialing, and performance to build a medical staff that reflects both clinical excellence and a deep commitment to the communities served. The CMO will develop and advance population health and value-based care strategy in partnership with managed care leadership, with an emphasis on closing care gaps for highest-risk patient populations. the role includes integrating care coordination across behavioral health, dental, and primary care to create a seamless continuum of care rather than siloed programs. The CMO will serve as the clinical representative in community, regulatory, and payer relationships and will help sustain a culture of continuous clinical improvement grounded in data, humility, and a relentless focus on patient outcomes. The incoming physician will help build the clinical program alongside the transformation effort, while maintaining an appropriate level of clinical presence to ensure leadership remains informed by direct patient care and the realities of the exam room.
