Functional Family Therapist Salary: $28.00/hr. Full-Time – 35 hours/week. Health benefits included. Employer: The Salvation Army – Syracuse Area Services. The Salvation Army – Syracuse Area Services is hiring a Functional Family Therapist dedicated to providing evidence‑based Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to youth and families. Assist family members in developing and implementing FFT service plans and intervention strategies, targeting behavioral change for youth using FFT methodology. Initiate and maintain regular contact with clients, conducting home visits and therapy sessions as determined by FFT consultation. Participate in FFT training, case conferences, and consultation with the FFT supervisor to deliver services based on FFT principles (e.g., Engagement Dynamics, Approach to Behavior Change). Maintain FFT narratives, outcome monitoring, and provide ongoing clinical assessments and case recommendations. Coordinate liaison activities with collaborative partners. Provide case recommendations to the probation monitor regarding justice system, educational needs, and other individual needs for the youth in the family; and to other service providers regarding client utilization of services, mental‑health/substance‑abuse issues, youth, family, or community safety, and/or after‑care planning. Demonstrate cultural competence and integrate it into daily responsibilities while aligning with the Salvation Army’s strategic plan. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical field required; near‑completion of such degrees will also be considered. Licensure preferred. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle required to provide counseling and outreach services.
