Underwriting Analyst, Corporate Accounts, Financial Institutions - Financial Lines

This Underwriting Analyst role could be your entry into underwriting if you have transferable skills. How you will create an impact This role will focus on helping underwrite new and renewal business to help drive the profitable growth of our Financial institutions group. You will be responsible for helping assess the desirability of risk through regular contact with brokers, close co-ordination with AIG subject matter experts and robust reviews of claims history and general company information. Developing relationships with brokers will be key to your success. You will need to provide excellent service to brokers through a consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting. You will also aim to help generate new business by expanding the broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market - in line with a sales plan established with your manager. Another key aspect of the role is assisting the provision of accurate monthly management information including submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium. What you'll need to succeed Underwriting experience is beneficial; however, you are welcome to apply if you have other relevant professional experience. The capability of analyzing financial statements. Strong communication, networking and relationship building skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Customer and Sales orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable. For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $65,000 - $80,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
