Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to oncology and bone marrow transplant (BMT) patients in a 13-week contract role. Utilize extensive chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and BMT experience to support patient treatment plans and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and blood products following strict safety protocols.
• Monitor patient responses and manage adverse reactions proactively.
• Collaborate with pharmacy and medical teams to ensure proper medication preparation and delivery.
• Document treatments, patient observations, and procedural details accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to all policies regarding hazardous drugs, PPE, and infection control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with the required ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 1 year of oncology nursing experience.
• Certification in ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy with 15.25 contact hours.
• Demonstrated competency in chemotherapy administration in a clinical setting.
• BMT and CAR-T experience preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends.
