Job Description Review bid documents to determine the extent of the work scope. Provide quantitative take‑offs either manually or with QuoteExpress On‑Screen for equipment, materials, and fixtures. Contact suppliers for cost information and material availability. Properly secure and prevent access to confidential business materials. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. Requirements Able to work at least 8 hours per day, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday–Friday; additional hours (including weekends) as needed. Possess strong interpersonal skills – contacting vendors, subcontractors, clients, and the ability to resolve conflicts professionally and independently or with management assistance. Strong customer service and negotiation skills; comfortable working on bids with multiple parties. Effectively communicate in English orally and in writing. HS diploma, GED, or a four‑year degree in Construction Management or related field strongly preferred; experience may substitute for education. Read diagrams and apply them to real physical set‑ups. Strong arithmetic skills for quantitative analysis. Basic computer skills: Word, Outlook, Excel (basic formulas), and office equipment. Fundamental understanding of mechanical and/or plumbing materials and principles. Take initiative; work independently or with others as appropriate. Reliable and dependable with regard to attendance and timeliness. Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, and remain in static positions for the duration of a shift. Physical ability to lift 5 to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Deal with internal and external customers in a friendly, professional, and ethical manner. Scope of Work Manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Work under the general supervision of a Senior Estimator. Accountable for completing all assigned tasks accurately and timely. Work individually or on teams as needed. Work environment: office with possible site visits.
