Our Degating Associates remove gates, sprues, and excess material from molded parts to prepare them for assembly. Watch the video on our company page to see our team, our facility, and all open roles.**What You’ll Do:*** Remove gates, sprues, and excess material from molded parts using box cutters, knives, saws, cutting tools, and pneumatic fixtures.* Use hand tools, battery-powered tools, and basic measurement tools to ensure parts meet specifications.* Follow established degating procedures and safety guidelines without shortcuts.* Perform visual quality checks and ensure parts meet YakAttack standards before releasing them to assembly.* Participate in random quality checks and maintain accountability for work through traceability.* Rotate between degating tasks and related workstations based on workflow and inventory availability.* Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly dispose of scrap material.* Communicate defects, material issues, or equipment concerns to the Assembly Supervisor.* Assist Assembly or Shipping during high-volume periods when needed.* Work additional hours during peak demand, including some Saturdays, based on business needs.**Schedule & Work Environment*** Full-time, weekday manufacturing schedule.* Additional hours may be scheduled during peak demand, including some Saturdays.* Manufacturing environment with frequent standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motions.* Located at YakAttack headquarters in Farmville, VA**Benefits:*** Competitive hourly wage* 1-week paid vacation* 7 paid holidays* Company benefits for full-time employees## Qualifications**Qualifications:*** Strong attention to detail and consistency.* Professional, positive attitude.* Reliable work habits and ability to follow procedures.* Ability to safely use cutting tools, knives, saws, and pneumatic fixtures.* Basic measurement skills (tape measure, calipers, gauges).* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.* Experience in manufacturing, production, or part finishing preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr YakAttack, LLC
