\n The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the health problems presented by the patients.\n

\n Essential Functions\n
\n\n
\n
- \n
- Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others. \n
- Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times. \n
- Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care. \n
- Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients. \n
- Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources. \n
- Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards. \n
- Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient / family advocate. \n
- Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development / application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities. \n
- Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals. \n

- LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or \n
- LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required \n
- CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required \n
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or \n
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required \n
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required \n
- CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required \n
