Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology department within a cardiac-focused setting
• 16-20 cases per day caseload
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call requirement of 1 day per week
• 4-6 weekend shifts required
• May float to Cath Lab as needed
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required; will accept ARRT or RCIS
• LA State License required (temporary LSRT accepted, 3-5 day issuance); license required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in venous access, central line care, and PICC line maintenance
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) preferred
• Proficient in procedural responsibilities including EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and room circulating
• Experience with a wide range of IR, cardiac cath, EP, neurological, and GU procedures as listed
• Familiarity with fluoroscopy equipment, PACS, and Philips imaging systems (Xray/Xper) preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and accurate patient monitoring during procedures
• Exposure to a broad range of cardiac and interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and TAVR
• Maintains inventory, stocks supplies, and ensures equipment upkeep
• Adheres to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate
• Returning LCMC employees must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments
• Two recent supervisor references required for consideration
• Any license-related issues must be disclosed at time of consideration
