Sr. Platforms Architect

The Sr. Platforms Architect is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the IT infrastructure and developing enterprise standards, while delivering highly available, secure and cost-effective IT infrastructure in a manufacturing environment.

How You Will Impact The Firm

• Develop and maintain technology road maps for the enterprise network architecture
• Contribute towards the advancement and improvement of the overall network architecture
• Partner with Technology Platforms teams to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner and are of high quality
• Take a lead role in the engagement and mitigation of outage causing events
• Ability to engage and effectively communicate with multiple tiers of management on highly technical topics
• Review, consult and prepare for planned changes being introduced to the production environment
• Partner with Operations team to plan and execute Network upgrades and device maintenance
• Plan deployment projects and operationalize the implementations of new technologies
• Contribute towards continual improvement of our global network architecture
• Work with stakeholders to identify objectives and report progress
• Mentor and influence other IT resources
• Advance a culture of data driven decision making, agility and continuous improvement
• Be an SME and mentor to the IT Operations team providing implementation plans for new solutions

What You Need To Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
• 10 + years of experience managing technical architecture, projects and implementation in IT infrastructure
• Demonstrated knowledge of designing, building, and implementing technical solutions across network infrastructure environments
• Senior level Cisco networking experience in a large enterprise environment
• Senior level experience designing, deploying, and maintaining highly resilient and scalable distributed LAN and WAN network architecture
• Deep, hands-on experience with TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP and OSPF)
• Expert level knowledge of WAN optimization such as Cisco WAAS and Riverbed
• Expert level knowledge with Software-Defined Network such as Cisco ACI and VMWare NSX
• Strong understanding of SD-WAN design and implementation
• The ability to collaborate with the PMO on Project, Program and Portfolio concepts and assist in design and delivery methods with progress tracking
• Cisco CCIE certification preferred
• Experience in Process Control Networks preferred
• Professional proficiency with the MS suite of products (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio, Project)
• Being self-directed, fast-paced, collaborative, and results-oriented
• Basic Knowledge of networking and network infrastructure a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a global enterprise.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines at a fast pace.
