Title Phlebotomist I Location Delray Beach FL 33445 Duration 6 months Shift Eastern Standard - 6:00am - 3:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday Additional Job Details Must list home city/commute time on resume; rate is based on years of direct phlebotomy experience. Overlapping roles do not count twice. Students must ensure their school schedule does not conflict with the shift schedule. Candidate must have reliable personal transportation; being dropped off by bus, Uber, or rideshare is not reliable. Must be available to work whenever scheduled, be on time, and stay for the entire shift. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness is not tolerated and may lead to termination. Description The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the company to patients. Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures. Creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens safely and accurately. Demonstrates leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Performs daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintains a safe and professional environment. Performs both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Job Requirements Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent (required). Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, Washington). Work Experience Minimum 12 months of experience required; two years of phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience required. 1-year minimum experience with strong customer service and team-oriented skills; weekends required. Position offered by a no-fee agency. #J-18808-Ljbffr
