Summary:
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support laboratory materials and warehouse operations. The role will manage inventory, receiving, packing, shipping, and material handling while ensuring compliance with GLP, DOT, HazMat, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, chemicals, reagents, and glassware.
- Handle receiving, packing, shipping, and related documentation.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and temperature requirements for materials.
- Support warehouse and laboratory operations and resolve material/logistics issues.
- Follow GLP, DOT, HazMat, and safety procedures.
- Operate material-handling equipment/PIT safely.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and respond to customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and support process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED plus college coursework in biological/physical sciences or an AA/AS in a related science field.
- Experience in material handling, inventory, warehousing, shipping/receiving, or logistics preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of chemical handling, Lean, or Operational Excellence is a plus.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work 40 hours/week, including overtime, weekends, or off shifts as needed.
