Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states. This opportunity is located in Detroit, MI at a hospital facility. Candidates will work within the general laboratory department and support diagnostic services for inpatient and outpatient populations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field as required by the client.
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required.
• In licensure states, laboratory licensure in the appropriate specialty as applicable to the state.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist.
• BLS certification.
• Experience working in a hospital general laboratory preferred.
• Experience performing routine clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and/or blood bank testing preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume hospital laboratory preferred.
• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) preferred.

Assignment Details

• Expected Hours: 40 per week.
• Department: General Lab (7060).
• May be required to float to other facilities as needed.
