Sr. Underwriter, Media E&O Job Type: Permanent. Locations: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, West Hartford. Hiscox USA is seeking a dynamic, engaging, and solutions‑oriented Sr. Underwriter to drive new business and underwrite complex renewal business within the Media E&O sector. Key Responsibilities Underwrite, price and negotiate accounts consistent with company strategy and product line guidelines. Lead nationwide Media E&O underwriting production. Develop new broker relationships and deepen existing broker relationships across the region to increase production. Collaborate with the national Media E&O team to learn and teach. Maintain excellent customer‑service standards. Execute on the regional plan: serve as relationship manager for key Media E&O brokers and spearhead broker turnarounds/remediation. Obtain and maintain senior‑level underwriting authority in the Media E&O practice area and take underwriting referrals daily. Mentor and train junior Media E&O teammates locally and nationally. Lead in‑office quoting days with top broker partners. Monitor product results and develop ideas to increase productivity and profitability. Consistently exceed the minimum quote‑output numbers set by the national Media manager. Travel regionally to attend industry events and broker visits as required (up to 25% U.S. travel). Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Media E&O coverage. Customer‑centric mindset and passion for superior customer service. Strong understanding of sales principles, presentation, negotiation skills and competitive drive. Proven track record of delivering underwriting profit. Team‑oriented, collaborative, and willing to share information across divisions. Attention to detail and results‑focused mentality. Ability to identify business needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a collaborative environment. B.A./B.S. degree preferred.
