Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 9 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in dialysis License: New York license required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Must-Have: - Charge nurse experience required - Ability to run a 4:1 patient assignment - Experience with Fresenius machines - Outpatient and chronic dialysis experience Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in dialysis. The contract duration is 9 weeks. The shift is days, working 3x12-hour shifts from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Scheduling will vary depending on department needs. You will need to be able to run a 4:1 patient assignment and take charge of 21 stations. Charge nurse experience is required. Candidates may be required to float to various dialysis locations. Rotating Saturdays and occasional Sundays may be necessary due to holidays. Local candidates may be considered at a lower rate. You will be responsible for setting up dialysis machines and managing patient care. The position requires proficiency in various dialysis-related skills, including cannulation and emergency protocols. This role includes overseeing patient treatment, ensuring safety and effectiveness of dialysis procedures. Candidates with previous charge experience and familiarity with electronic health records are preferred. Infection control and the ability to respond to patient emergencies are key responsibilities.
