Credit Analyst

We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join a team where analytical thinking matters, questions are welcomed, and strong credit work helps drive smart business decisions. This is a role for someone who enjoys digging into financial statements, evaluating risk, understanding businesses, and turning a mountain of information into a clear, useful credit story. You’ll work closely with lenders, relationship managers, credit leadership, and other banking professionals to analyze new and existing credit relationships. You’ll evaluate financial performance, repayment capacity, collateral, industry conditions, and overall creditworthiness while helping ensure decisions are supported by thoughtful, well-documented analysis. What You’ll Do Analyze financial statements, tax returns, borrowing base information, projections, and other financial data. Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and underwriting materials for new and existing commercial relationships. Evaluate borrower cash flow, liquidity, leverage, profitability, debt service coverage, and repayment capacity. Review credit requests and identify strengths, weaknesses, trends, risks, and opportunities. Assist lenders and relationship managers with structuring appropriate credit facilities. Analyze collateral, guarantor support, industry conditions, and other relevant risk factors. Monitor existing portfolios and identify changes that may affect borrower performance or credit quality. Prepare credit presentations, approval memos, renewals, annual reviews, and related documentation. Research industries, markets, and borrower-specific information to provide meaningful context around the numbers. Maintain strong attention to policy, regulatory, documentation, and risk-management requirements. Communicate findings clearly to lenders, credit officers, and senior leadership. Ask the important questions before the numbers become important problems. Support a collaborative credit culture where accuracy, consistency, and sound judgment are valued. What Makes You a Great Fit Commercial banking or credit analysis experience with a solid understanding of underwriting principles. Strong financial statement and cash-flow analysis skills. Ability to interpret financial information and recognize trends that may not be immediately obvious. Knowledge of commercial lending, credit risk, collateral analysis, and loan structuring. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Comfortable working independently while also partnering closely with lenders and credit leadership. Ability to manage multiple priorities without letting the details fall through the cracks. Strong Excel and financial analysis capabilities. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred. The Personality We’re Looking For You don’t have to be the loudest person in the room.
