Program CoordinatorThe Program Coordinator position at The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) Command is a purpose-driven role focused on transforming lives through hope, healing, and recovery. As a Program Coordinator, you'll support programs that help individuals rebuild their lives while ensuring our Program Department operates efficiently across multiple locations.If you're highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy coordinating projects, events, and communications in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.Compensation & SchedulePay Rate: $23.00-$25.00 per hourSchedule: 36.25 hours per weekLocation: Hoffman Estates, ILWork Arrangement:This position is fully in-person during the first 90 days to support onboarding, training, and relationship building.Following successful completion of the introductory period, employees may be eligible for one of the following flexible work arrangements:One remote workday per weekA four-day workweek schedule, based on business needs and departmental approval.Position OverviewThe Program Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and project coordination support to the Director of Program and the Adult Rehabilitation Center Program Department. This position serves as a key contributor to program success by supporting volunteer management, community partnerships, events, departmental communications, compliance tracking, and document management.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys balancing multiple priorities, working independently, and supporting meaningful programs that make a difference in communities across the Central Territory.What You'll DoAdministrative & Program SupportProvide high-level administrative support to the Director of Program and Program Department.Coordinate schedules, calendars, meetings, correspondence, and department communications.Maintain and organize program policies, manuals, forms, and guidance materials.Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences while capturing detailed notes and action items.Monitor project timelines and follow up on deliverables to help ensure department goals are achieved.Assist with KPI tracking, reporting, and program performance initiatives.Support documentation requests related to legal, community partner, and former beneficiary inquiries.Volunteer Program CoordinationSupport volunteer onboarding processes across ARC locations.Track volunteer applications, background checks, Safe From Harm training, approvals, and compliance documentation.Maintain volunteer role descriptions and program resources.Monitor volunteer participation, hours, and impact metrics.Share recruitment resources and best practices with local centers.Community Partnerships & Contract AdministrationAssist with drafting, tracking, and maintaining partnership agreements, contracts, and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).Manage contract records, deadlines, renewals, and reporting requirements.Coordinate approval and signature processes while ensuring documentation remains current and organized.Event & Conference SupportHelp coordinate major Program Department events, including:ARC Program ConferenceAlumni RetreatsAlumni BanquetsDRS Trainings and Professional Development EventsAssist with event registration, travel arrangements, meeting materials, and presentations.Support on-site event logistics and post-event documentation.Document Management & CommunicationMaintain confidential digital filing systems and records.Develop and distribute standardized forms, templates, and training materials.Track required center submissions and ensure timely follow-up.Serve as a liaison between the Program Department and ARC centers.Prepare agendas, meeting materials, updates, and internal communications.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of four years of administrative, program support, project coordination, or related experience.Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and database management systems.Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting volunteer programs.Experience with nonprofit organizations, social services, behavioral health, or community-based programs.Familiarity with contracts, partnership agreements, or grant administration.Why Join The Salvation Army ARC?When you join The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers, you become part of a team dedicated to helping individuals find hope, healing, and a path toward lasting recovery.
