Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:30 PM CST
Hours: 7.5 hours/day

Our client is seeking a Training Coaching Officer 1 to deliver Pre-Service and Specialty training to newly hired staff and provide coaching, feedback, and ongoing support throughout the onboarding process.

The ideal candidate will have direct child welfare experience combined with experience delivering training, adult education, or staff development. Experience with trauma-informed care and human services is highly desirable.

• Deliver Pre-Service and Specialty training to newly hired employees.
• Provide training on child welfare fundamentals and program-specific practices.
• Cover areas such as CPS, Foster Care, Juvenile Justice, and trauma-informed case management.
• Train staff on practice models involving engagement, teaming, assessment, planning, implementation, tracking, and adjustment.
• Provide instruction on self-care and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
• Coach and provide feedback to new hires based on field observations.
• Identify and address practice gaps.
• Facilitate mentor certification programs.
• Proctor assessments and support evaluation activities.
• Participate in case panel presentations and simulation lab activities.
• Provide technical support for virtual training sessions.
• Use Microsoft Teams and other digital platforms to facilitate training.
• Collaborate with training teams and leadership to ensure consistent training content and delivery.
• Travel for in-person training, coaching, and field observations as needed.

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1+ year of direct child welfare field experience , such as case management, investigations, foster care, or juvenile justice.
• 1+ year of experience in training delivery, adult education, or staff development.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and virtual training tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong facilitation and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.

• Experience delivering training in a government or human services environment.
• Training or certification in trauma-informed care.
• Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing.
• Coursework or experience with adult learning principles.

• Hybrid work environment.

• Travel required for training, coaching, and field observations.
