Summary This Program Specialist position is in the Veterans Benefit Administration Lincoln Regional Office, Fiduciary Hub. The employee serves as the quality review and training coordinator for the division. Responsible for analyzing data associated with national program reviews, work in progress reviews (IPRs), and statistical and technical accuracy (STAR) reviews. Also conducts local quality assurance (QA) and training. Learn more about this agency Duties Help Specific duties include:
- Responsible for the propriety and technical sufficiency of the Fiduciary Hub's workload activities. Serves as a technical expert for the division's workload processing through conducting reviews and mentoring and training employees.
- Communicates any trends or problem areas identified during training and/or the local and national quality review process. Provides guidance and training on how to improve the effectiveness of the division's workload processing.
- Develops methods to ensure quality processing of fiduciary actions. This includes developing local operating procedures for the division to supplement regulations and directives, as needed.
- Assists in preparing the division's annual training plan and preparing training outlines and lesson plans.
- Assists in delivering training to new and journey-level employees, in many formats to include in-person training and through the use of technology.
- Performs individual quality reviews of completed and in-process actions to monitor employee performance.
- Develops methods for mentoring members of the team on the technical aspects of the job in a manner that addresses individual learning needs and effectively offers feedback to identify and correct deficient areas.
