Req. 5 yrs. exp. w/each of the following: RESTful services design philosophy, building high performing APIs & writing specs & expertise in Java, & other J2EE design patterns; building CI/CD pipelines using SVN, Maven & Jenkins for deployments & releases while aligning to strategy, design, & architecture of platform; proven ability to evaluate & introduce emerging technologies through technical proof-of-concepts, incl. DynamoDB, Redis caching, Kafka stream processing, & serverless architectures using AWS Lambda; proficient in the design & development of scalable Web applications & Microservices using Java-based MVC frameworks such as Spring Boot & Spring, with deep knowledge of enterprise-grade J2EE design patterns; advanced expertise in building responsive front-end components utilizing frameworks & libraries such as Next.js, Node.js, React.js, AngularJS, & HTML5; hands-on experience w/ AWS cloud infrastructure, incl. deployment & management of services in EKS & EC2 cluster environments; skilled in containerization & orchestration on AWS OpenShift environments; demonstrated ability to define & implement enterprise-wide code quality standards, incl. the rollout of automated code quality tools; extensive exp. w/ NoSQL databases incl. MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon DocumentDB, & Elasticsearch, with a strong grasp of data modeling & performance optimization; background in Mainframe data integration, with the ability to analyze legacy systems & integrate with modern NoSQL solutions like DynamoDB; & deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum & Kanban), with a track record of successful delivery across multiple release cycles in 12 week sprint cadences. Position is based out of & reports to Thrivents HQ in Minneapolis, MN, but allows for the option to telecommute from a home office anywhere in the U.S. Salary: At least $214,053/year.
