Warehouse Associate

Key Job Responsibilities Assist shipping and receiving, unload trucks with forklift or crane, check in merchandise, match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute to sales associates for processing. Accurately stock material physically and electronically into proper warehouse bin locations. Read and accurately transact customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic. Open bales, crates, and other containers. Assist in routine cycle counting of inventory. Weigh and count items to ensure conformance to company standards. Record transactional amounts of materials or items received or issued via appropriate ERP & Warehouse Management Systems transaction. Ability to review MTR’s and maintain traceability on required material. Perform 5S activities as assigned. Sweep, dust, mop, and organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times. Document purchase orders or work order, part numbers, and projects on all incoming/outgoing items. The job requires intense interaction with the company’s ERP & Warehouse Management Systems. Must be able to relocate throughout TAS warehouse sites when needed. Any other duties assigned by TAS Job Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to drive a forklift. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic computer skills required. Education & Training High School Diploma Minimum Requirements Six months of related factory experience and/or training. Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal. Previous experience operating a forklift. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Work performed in a shop environment. Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable. Requires normal vision and absence of color blindness. Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs of materials. Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, and reach. The use of safety glasses is required. The use of earplugs is recommended. Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week. Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
