Role Description The Universal Banker is a full‑time, on‑site role based at our Poplar Grove, IL branch. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive banking services, including processing deposits and withdrawals, handling cash transactions accurately, and assisting customers with account inquiries. The Universal Banker will also support customers with loan applications, explain product features and fees, and identify appropriate financial solutions. Daily responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, resolving issues promptly, maintaining security and compliance standards, and contributing to a positive, team‑oriented branch environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in deposits and general account transactions, including opening, maintaining, and servicing customer accounts. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, with a focus on relationship building, problem solving, and a professional, welcoming demeanor. Candidates should possess accurate cash handling skills, including balancing cash drawers, managing currency and checks, and following security procedures. Candidates should possess knowledge of loans, including basic lending products, application support, and the ability to explain terms and requirements. Candidates should possess clear communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain banking products and policies effectively. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in retail banking or customer‑facing financial services, familiarity with banking regulations, and comfort using banking software and office technology. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
