As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and guests. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and/or guests by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of museum grounds, memorial areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and report unauthorized entry or concerning behavior in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain daily activity logs, and communicate observations, concerns, and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
