CNC Machinist- 1st Shift

We are seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate machines for creating or repairing stainless steel components. The successful candidate will determine dimensions and tolerances by studying blueprints and use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy. You will be responsible for examining materials to ensure they meet established standards, reporting defects, performing minor equipment maintenance, and ensuring safety devices are operational.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machines to make or repair stainless steel components.
  • Study blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances of pieces to be machined.
  • Use precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers to check accuracy.
  • Examine materials to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Report all defects in material to the Team Leader.
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure that safety devices are operative.
  • Comply with health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area on a daily basis.
  • Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications.
  • Complete the required paperwork.
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

Work in a comfortable air-conditioned shop. The 1st shift operates from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with flexible start times between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., offering 10-hour shifts. Voluntary overtime is available on Fridays, ranging from 5-10 hours. This is a Permanent position based out of Sun Prairie, WI.

The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $68000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
