Do you have a passion for teaching? Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for elementary classroom teaching positions that may become available within our division for the 2026 - 2027 school year.


Please note this is a "continuous recruit posting" to build an applicant pool for all schools. As positions become available, all qualified applicants with complete application files will be considered. Should a specific location/job be posted, you may also be required to apply to that posting.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher's License with the appropriate endorsement to teach at the elementary school level
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Possesses ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold a master's degree in Education

FLSA: Exempt

SALARY: $53,889.00 - $87,325.91 annually, with benefits; commensurate with experience
