Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team, delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical setting. They operate under the guidance of Nurse Managers and the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, adhering to evidence-based practices, professional standards, and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Key Responsibilities Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based care. Provide patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, respecting cultural differences. Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and goal-setting. Coordinate safe, quality care and ensure thorough documentation while fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and promote best practices. Serve as a preceptor or mentor, contribute to protocol development, and support resource management. Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications And Skills Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred. Current RN licensure (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification. Less than one year of clinical experience required; prior patient care experience preferred. Strong clinical, communication, teamwork, and professional development skills.
