If you have commercial driving experience and a strong commitment to safety, we want to hear from you!You will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck while delivering time-sensitive concrete to various construction sites. You will play a key role in supporting a strong safety culture, from safe driving and traffic law compliance to basic truck maintenance and daily housekeeping.What you will be doingSafely operate a ready-mix truck, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate order fulfillmentPerform daily maintenance checks and maintain truck cleanliness inside and outPromptly report any minor mechanical issues or maintenance needsHelp maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment around the plant and job sitesFollow all BURNCO policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT and company driving standardsComplete required paperwork such as pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs) and work orders accurately and on timeCommunicate and escalate any operational or safety concerns to the supervisorCrosstrain in other areas as needed to support team operationsPerform related duties as assignedWhat we would like from youTwo years of ready-mix experience or one year of commercial driving experiencePossession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for this positionConsistent, reliable attendance with the flexibility to work irregular hours, including scheduled SaturdaysWillingness to work from other BURNCO plants as needed to support business demandsDemonstrates calm, professional behavior in high-pressure or frustrating situationsAbility to learn and apply various ready-mix designs and material components, including admixtures, slump / water ratios, and concrete properties and consistenciesClear commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork in all aspects of the jobActive FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration (required for all CDL drivers)High school diploma or GED equivalent preferredLocation and other key details:This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Kiowa Plant, 8750 Alan Ridge Rd, Kiowa, CO 80117.This is a safety-sensitive position requiring successful completion of PSP, MVR, background check, pre-employment drug test, and DOT physical assessment prior to hireRegular outdoor work with exposure to a range of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snowRequired to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, vests, and glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats, with additional PPE for special jobs as requiredFrequent use of hand-eye coordination and near / far vision to operate equipment safelyRegularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb, bend, reach, lift or carry up to 50 lbsUtilize fine motor skills, gross motor skills, manual dexterity, color discernment, and active hearing / listening throughout workExposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smoke, gases, fumes, and aggregate materials typical of plant and construction environmentsSalary Range: $26 -$32 based on ExperienceWhy BURNCO?Be part of a supportive, high-performing team that values your growth and successEnjoy competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and moreExperience our inclusive, collaborative, and safety-focused cultureTake part in team events, professional development activities, and community initiativesJoin us and be part of an organization that values safety above all.
