Subject Tutor (K-12)

About the Role

Huntington Learning Center in Clermont, FL is seeking dedicated, knowledgeable tutors to provide personalized, one-on-one instruction to students in foundational reading and math, core academic subjects, and advanced high school coursework. In this role, you will help students master homework, prep for exams, and build lifelong study habits—with zero lesson planning required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, one-on-one instruction to help students master homework, prepare for upcoming tests/quizzes, and develop targeted study strategies.
• Deliver instruction in one or more focus areas:
• • Foundational Skills: K-8 Reading and Math
  • Subject Tutoring: Reading, Writing, Physics, Biology, Chemistry etc.
• Utilize proven teaching strategies to keep students engaged and adapt lessons to meet each student's unique learning needs.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required (open to backgrounds in education or related fields).
• Experience: 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
• Certification: Teaching Certificate preferred but not required.
• Availability: Flexible schedule, willing to commit to at least 3 days per week.
• Commute: Reliable transportation to the Clermont center.
