Job Title: OR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: ACLS BLS PALS Must-Have: OR Experience StarRN Description: The unit has 7 beds and a staff of 35, consisting of RNs, Surgical Techs, OR Aides, Supply Techs, and a Secretary. On the day shift, there are 7 RNs, 7 Surgical Techs, 4 OR Aides, 2 Supply Techs, and 1 Secretary. The patient to nurse ratio is 1:1. The unit is equipped with standard OR equipment. The documentation system used is Meditech. Call requirements are 3-4 times per month. Typical procedures performed include laparoscopy, robotic surgery, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, laparotomy, urology, orthopedic surgery, and ENT procedures. Candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment and able to function independently. Scrubs will be provided by the unit. This position is a replacement for permanent staff.
