We’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative who understands the dealership world and knows how to build relationships with the people who make things happen inside a dealership.

What You’ll Do

As an Inside Sales Representative, the focus is on developing new dealership relationships and creating opportunities for our sales team. The role involves connecting with dealerships, learning about their business, identifying opportunities, and introducing them to Better Car People solutions.

Responsibilities include:

• Prospect and connect with automotive dealerships through outbound calls, email, and other channels.
• Build relationships with dealership decision-makers and key stakeholders.
• Leverage dealership experience to understand challenges and uncover opportunities.
• Qualify prospects and determine where Better Car People can provide value.
• Research dealerships and identify the right contacts and decision-makers.
• Manage and maintain an active pipeline in our CRM.
• Follow up consistently and turn conversations into qualified opportunities.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to support outreach and lead generation initiatives.
• Stay up to date on dealership trends, technology, and the evolving automotive retail landscape.
• Consistently work toward and exceed activity, pipeline, and performance goals.

What You Bring

Required:

• 1+ years of sales experience, with a strong preference for experience selling into automotive dealerships.
• Understanding of dealership operations and the automotive retail environment.
• Experience communicating with dealership decision-makers.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and starting conversations with new prospects.
• Self-motivated, competitive, and driven to achieve results.
• Strong organization, follow-up, and time management skills.
• Experience using a CRM and common business software.

Even Better If You Have:

• Previous B2B sales experience within the automotive industry.
• Experience selling automotive technology, SaaS, digital retail, advertising, or dealership services.
• Experience working with Dealer Principals, General Managers, Sales Managers, BDC leaders, or Internet Directors.
• Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms.
