Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,015 per week

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Employment Type: Travel

Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds: 30

· Patient Ratio : 5-6 : 1

· Unit staffing description - Unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCT’s day & night, Nursing Supervisor, Hospitalists

· Type of equipment: Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry and MP2’s

· Documentation system : Meditech-HCA version

· Medications: WOW with med drawers, PyxisES dispensing system

· Scheduling requirements : equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts/4-week schedule)

· Floating policy : other M/S areas: general MS, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), M/S surgical w oncology. We rotate unless skill mix is needed.

· Patient Experience requirements : Bedside Rounding, Hourly Rounding with 5P’s checked. Reporting to PCT’s of known needs at beginning and during shifts, Check glass board for dept focus areas, Scrolling video kiosk available as well as email for update references.

Hospital Specifics-

· Certifications : BLS/ACLS/NIH

Must have : 2+ years recent PCU experience in a hospital setting, ACLS/BLS

Advanced skills needed: Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips

Procedures performed on unit:  Chest Tube management, wound vac management, EKG’s ad lib,

Certifications Required: ACLS

TRAVEL - RN - CARDIAC STEPDOWN - COST CENTER 609 / 7:00PM - 7:00AM (1013122) Application and testing from agency required to be submitted.
