Director of Nursing

Director of Nursing (DON)We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department and ensure the highest standards of quality care, resident safety, and clinical excellence. The Director of Nursing will provide leadership to nursing staff, oversee clinical operations, and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and person-centered care.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and oversee daily nursing operations and clinical services.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements, including CMS and applicable long-term care regulations.Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, STNAs, and other clinical team members.Monitor resident care, clinical outcomes, quality measures, and nursing practices.Oversee staffing, scheduling, assignments, and appropriate utilization of nursing resources.Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, therapy, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members.Respond to clinical concerns, incidents, complaints, and changes in resident condition.Support survey readiness and develop corrective action plans when needed.Promote infection prevention and control, resident rights, and safe clinical practices.Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed.Serve as a visible and supportive leader who promotes employee engagement and resident-centered care.QualificationsCurrent RN license in the State of Ohio in good standing.Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; equivalent nursing leadership experience may be considered.Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in an acute and/or long-term care or skilled nursing environment.Previous Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, clinical standards, quality improvement, and survey processes.Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop nursing staff.Excellent communication, organization, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality, person-centered care.What We OfferCompetitive salaryComprehensive benefits packagePaid time offRetirement planProfessional development opportunitiesSupportive leadership teamOpportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their familiesJoin our team and help lead a nursing department where quality care, dignity, and compassion come first.McGregor is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.
