Security Officer 1 - Part-Time: Friday -Saturday 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Pay Range: $21.67 - $ 25.00

Summary:

This position provides security services for the organization's residents and employees. It protects from and responds to fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.

Essential Function:

The duties listed below are essential functions of the position that must be performed to effectively perform the position in at least an acceptable manner as defined by Front Porch. In the future, other duties may be assigned and considered essential functions of the position:

• Patrols inside and outside the Community's grounds, including lobbies, corridors, public rooms, and facility access points, to ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
• Respond to fire alarms, emergency call switch activation, and other emergencies.
• Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, carrying forbidden articles and devices, reports, or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Investigate and complete resident loss reports and incident reports, gives copies to the supervisor, and maintains a file on them.
• Keeps an accurate log of shift activities

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Skills Needed:

Communication/Interpersonal:

• Effective oral and written communication skills appropriate to the audience's needs.

• Effective conflict management skills.

• Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders through positive interaction, problem identification, and resolution.

Education:

Essential - Diploma - High School/GED

Preferred

Experience:

Essential - 6 months - Security Experience
