In this dynamic role, you’ll make a real difference collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to foster student independence and participation in school activities.
Your experience as a COTA will be vital as you assist in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to address students’ unique needs. You will work closely with occupational therapists, educators, and families, ensuring every child receives the resources and guidance to achieve their educational goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current COTA certification and Washington state licensure (or eligibility)
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly desired
- Skilled at adapting therapeutic interventions for the educational environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to documentation
- Passion for helping children of diverse abilities succeed
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic services under the supervision of an occupational therapist
- Support implementation of IEP goals for students with a variety of needs
- Assist in developing adaptive strategies and modifications for classroom activities
- Track and report on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create inclusive solutions
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development
