Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a Level I Nursery unit within a short-term acute care facility located in Newberg, Oregon. This role involves providing comprehensive care to obstetric patients, newborns, and postpartum mothers, with a focus on high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and newborn assessments. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of floating between units and managing a diverse range of clinical procedures.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Certifications: BLS, NRP.
• Experience: 1 year of labor and delivery experience.
• Charting System Experience: Epic (preferred).
• Patient Ratio Experience: 3:1 postpartum, 1:1 labor.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Includes assisting with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, postpartum care, newborn assessments, and implementing protocols such as baby-friendly initiatives and breastfeeding support.
• Special Requirements: Circulator experience preferred, with NRP certification required and at least 1 year of labor and delivery experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to meet unit needs.
• On-call: Occasional low census on-call required.
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend.
• Unit Details: Neonates and adults care, daily census of 4, 3 patient visits per day, 9 rooms, 8 beds, with interdisciplinary support services in place.
