240 Strings mentors and empowers young learners through free classical music education, concerts, and community. This part‑time role is designed for a hands‑on, results‑oriented fundraising professional with a demonstrated track record of generating revenue in nonprofit settings. The Development Manager will lead and execute focused fundraising efforts across individual giving, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships. This role is responsible for building and managing a clear donor pipeline, strengthening systems, and driving measurable revenue growth. Working closely with artistic leadership, staff, and board members, this individual will play a key role in stabilizing and growing contributed revenue. The role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who thrives in lean, evolving environments. Responsibilities Execute a practical, revenue-focused fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities Build, manage, and actively move a pipeline of individual donors, sponsors, and partners Lead donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts with a focus on relationship‑based fundraising Develop and support corporate sponsorship outreach with clear value propositions and revenue goals Clean up, maintain, and optimize donor data, workflows, and reporting within Givebutter and Little Green Light Spearhead key fundraising initiatives and events, such as house concerts and happy hour friend raisers; primary participant in actualizing larger initiatives. Provide consistent, concise reporting to leadership and board on pipeline activity and results Qualifications Proven track record of fundraising success, including securing individual gifts, sponsorships, or partnerships Ability to point to specific revenue outcomes or fundraising results Experience working in small or growing nonprofit environments with limited budgets Strong CRM and data management skills; Givebutter and/or Little Green Light experience a plus Highly organized, systems-oriented, and able to bring structure to evolving processes Clear, confident communicator comfortable engaging with leadership and board members Self‑directed and able to make progress independently within a part‑time scope Compensation & Structure $30/hour, approximately 10 hours per week to start Flexible, part‑time schedule with potential for growth Hybrid / primarily remote, with Portland presence as needed Opportunity to have immediate, visible impact on a growing organization Direct access to leadership and ability to shape fundraising strategy Collaborative, mission‑driven culture that values practicality, adaptability, and humor
