We're leading the search for a Senior Power Electronics & Controls Engineer to support advanced technology development.This is an advanced development role focused on creating the power conversion technologies, control architectures, and reference designs that will serve as the foundation for future platforms. You'll work across electrical, software, mechanical, and welding engineering to take ideas from modeling and simulation through working hardware and measured results.This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys operating at the intersection of deep control theory and hands-on power electronics—someone equally comfortable analyzing a control loop and proving the design on the bench.ResponsibilitiesArchitect, model, and develop control systems for next-generation multi-kW power conversion platforms.Take new power electronics concepts from simulation through proof-of-concept hardware, testing, and validation.Develop reference designs and technology platforms that enable product teams to move faster while reducing technical risk.Evaluate emerging power conversion technologies and determine how to make them robust, manufacturable, and repeatable.Partner across engineering teams, share technical expertise, and help elevate power electronics and controls capabilities throughout the organization.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5–10+ years of relevant power electronics experience; an advanced degree focused on controls or power electronics is a plus.Hands-on experience designing multi-kW switch-mode power conversion systems, including full-bridge topologies, gate drives, magnetics, and SiC or other wide-bandgap devices.Strong command of feedback control, plant modeling, loop compensation, and the design and stabilization of analog and digital control loops.Experience implementing controls on microcontrollers or DSPs, including hardware bring-up, ADC/PWM peripherals, and timing-sensitive firmware.Demonstrated ability to take concepts from modeling and simulation through prototype hardware, bench testing, and measured results.Perks & BenefitsWork on advanced technologies that will influence future generations of power electronics platforms.Join a highly technical Central Engineering team with significant opportunity to influence engineering standards and technology direction.Relocation assistance available401(k) company match plus an additional employer retirement contribution.11 paid holidays, 5 sick days, vacation time, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and company-paid life, AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance.
