Optical Engineer

To support network capacity growth, the full-time Optical Engineer will coordinate cross-connect orders, investigate discrepancies in infrastructure, and assist with space and power planning for optical deployments, all while working remotely. Key responsibilities Coordinate and process cross-connect orders, ensuring proper installation and documentation Investigate and remediate fallout tickets from audits, performing root cause analysis on discrepancies Support space and power planning activities, tracking utilization and coordinating with facilities teams Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience) Basic understanding of fiber optic infrastructure, including connectors and patch panels Proficiency with spreadsheets and ticketing systems Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Effective written and verbal communication skills
