Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct detailed mental health assessments for children and adolescents, identifying their unique emotional, social, and developmental needs.

  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect each child's developmental stage while considering family dynamics and support systems.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy, to effectively address various mental health concerns.

  • Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping caregivers with tools and strategies to foster a nurturing environment.

  • Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a seamless approach to care and treatment.

  • Provide crisis intervention during emergencies, offering immediate support and resources when needed.

  • Educate families on mental health issues, outlining treatment options and available community resources to empower them in the healing process.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that complies with legal, ethical, and clinic standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with children and adolescents, as well as their families, facing various mental health challenges. By using your skills to assess and treat these young clients, you will provide critical support to help them navigate their mental health journeys effectively. This role is crucial in building confidence, resilience, and coping strategies in young individuals.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is required.
  • \n
  • Strong foundational knowledge in child and adolescent mental health disorders, including a range of therapeutic modalities.

  • Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a warm, child-centered approach.

  • Ability to establish trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and their families effectively.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling role is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $105,000 annually, plus potential bonuses.
