Dairy Manager

We seek a manager passionate about helping people make healthy choices in one of the fastest growing retailers. Responsibilities Give direction to clerks and oversee presentation and sanitation standards in the dairy department. Process and stock products according to Sprouts dairy standards. Deliver outstanding customer service. Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. Control inventory and use proper ordering techniques to maximize sales and minimize stock loss. Ensure proper product rotation and remove out‑of‑code items. Handle price changes within the department. Coach, provide feedback, and conduct development discussions for team members; recommend merit increases based on bi‑annual performance reviews. Attend and participate in in‑store meetings. Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager. Exercise independent judgment to address team member concerns. Document corrective actions and collaborate with business and HR partners for coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, or termination as needed. Maintain productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels. Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members. Lead a team that delivers the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and greatest customer experience. Qualifications At least 18 years old with a minimum of 2 years of retail grocery experience. Strong communication skills and ability to give and receive direction in a team environment. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals. Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward team members and customers. Ability to answer phones and take special orders. Perform general housekeeping and sanitation of the department. Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactor, garbage disposal, pallet jack, and hand truck; accurately weigh and label products. Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, total of 8 hours per shift; vertically transfer trays up to 5 lbs. and items up to 40 lbs. over distances up to 36 ft. without mechanical assistance. Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations; obtain and maintain a Food Handlers permit. Pay The pay range is $19.50–$29.15 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
