Registered Nurse - Adult Nursing / Weekends

HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated RN Weekends Adult Psych nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, providing high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care to adult patients in an acute psychiatric setting. As a weekend RN in our adult psych unit, you will deliver compassionate nursing care to individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, and co-occurring medical or substance use challenges. Working closely with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team, you will perform comprehensive mental and physical assessments, monitor patient status, administer and evaluate the effectiveness of medications, and participate in the development and ongoing review of individualized care plans. In this role, you will use strong clinical judgment and therapeutic communication skills to conduct suicide and violence risk assessments, support crisis stabilization, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote patient safety and recovery. You will provide education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, medications, coping strategies, and community resources, helping them understand treatment plans and actively engage in their care. Accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record, adherence to all regulatory and hospital policies, and consistent application of de-escalation techniques, restraint and seclusion standards, and safety protocols are essential responsibilities.
