About the Position

Job Title

RN – ICU Float Pool (Travel Contract)

Portland, ME | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 75% weekends required | Expected 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Float to multiple ICU units including Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and CTICU based on clinical experience
• Float to Intermediate Care (IMC) units as needed, maintaining patient ratios of 1:3 in IMC settings
• Provide care for general ICU patients including sedated, intubated, and patients on pressors; high-complexity care such as CRRT is not expected
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU settings (1:3 in IMC)
• Utilize EPIC EMR for all documentation and patient management
• Demonstrate flexibility with assignments, including the potential to take multiple different assignments within the same shift

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Willingness and ability to float to multiple units, including various ICU and IMC departments
• No call requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple ICU specialties (Neuro, Surgical/Trauma, Cardiac, CT)
• Strong team communication skills and commitment to outstanding patient care
• Adaptability and self-motivation as an individual contributor within a float pool environment
