Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Ogden, UT

Schedule

Shift: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Medical Surgical Unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety standards. The nurse will work collaboratively with a team, utilizing advanced equipment to support patient needs and maintain efficient operations within the unit.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications proficiently and manage controlled substances.
• Monitor and record vital signs and lab results; respond accordingly.
• Carry out patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Assist with advanced procedures including NG/NJ tubes and chest tubes.
• Assist in patient care during heart procedures; patients return to the unit.
• Provide support and direction to nursing aides and techs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• Experience in Med Surg preferred.
• Basic knowledge of patient care and vital sign limits.
• Familiarity with lab values and documentation systems (Meditech).
• Current BLS certification.
