Project Scheduler Pay Rate: $22.00 - 24.00/hour Employment Type: 6-month Contract Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; overtime as needed Location: Wilmington, NC – Onsite Job Code: JPC-12592
Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Project Scheduler to work onsite with our client in Wilmington, NC. This role will support a portfolio of capital projects by developing, maintaining, and optimizing integrated project schedules throughout the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated schedules across multiple active capital projects.
- Establish project baselines and perform critical path analysis.
- Evaluate schedule impacts and develop recovery plans.
- Partner with Project Leaders, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to monitor progress and forecast completion dates.
- Identify scheduling risks, constraints, and potential impacts to project milestones.
- Facilitate Last Planner System (LPS) activities, including pull planning, look-ahead planning, weekly work planning, and constraint management.
- Track schedule performance metrics and portfolio health indicators.
- Prepare dashboards, project status reports, and executive summaries.
- Support project reviews, governance processes, and leadership reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement of scheduling and planning processes.
- Provide guidance and training to project teams on scheduling best practices.
Qualifications
- AAS degree or higher with experience in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of scheduling, project controls, or project management experience.
- 2–7 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or comparable scheduling software.
- Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), schedule forecasting, resource planning, and risk management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting/dashboard skills.
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, communication, and commitment to safety.
- Experience with Lean Construction and the Last Planner System preferred.
- PMP, PMI-SP, or Lean Construction certification is a plus.
- Manufacturing or construction scheduling experience strongly preferred.
- Optical fiber manufacturing experience is a plus.
Minimal travel may be required, including travel to Optical Fiber and Cable manufacturing sites in North Carolina and occasional vendor locations.
