What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, including vital signs and symptoms
• Manage wounds, JP drains, wound vacs, and hemodialysis catheters
• Pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Support patient recovery through pain management and post-op care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists
• Float to various Med/Surg units as needed, adhering to unit protocols

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of previous acute care RN experience
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam
• Skills in wound management, IV therapy, and catheter care

• Telemetry experience
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR
• Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient needs
