Position involves working day shifts with a focus on patient care. The nurse will be part of a team with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. Responsibilities include activation of the rapid response team as needed. Orientation will be provided to support integration into the team. Candidates must have experience in blood product administration, central line blood draw, and chest tube management. The role also involves caring for patients with colostomy/ileostomy needs and managing feeding tubes. Knowledge of high flow nasal cannula and insulin administration is essential. Experience with wound care and managing surgical drains is also necessary. This position requires effective isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management skills. Travelers are welcome to apply, including those who have never worked in a travel role before. Candidates should be prepared to float to like units as necessary based on facility needs. A supportive interdisciplinary team will be available, including physical therapy and social services. Shifts require weekend availability, with a commitment to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period. Total number of beds on the unit is 32.
