Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract. The role involves supporting various surgical procedures and ensuring optimal operative team functioning while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by organizing surgical instruments and supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Manage and maintain surgical equipment, including robotic systems, microscopes, drills, and various beds.
• Adhere to safety protocols and document all procedures accurately within the EPIC charting system.
• Float within assigned skill sets to support staff as needed and adapt to varying patient ratios.
• Follow on-call requirements, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage, as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Must possess 1.5+ years of surgical technologist experience in neuro, orthopedics, robotic, spine, GYN, or general surgery.
• Certified as NBSTSA or NCCT preferred or required at time of submission.
• Active NJ or Compact surgical technologist license at the time of submission.
• Demonstrate proficiency with surgical instrumentation, beds, drills, stealth, and microscopes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple cases per day, and float within a clinical setting.
• Willingness to complete all required certifications and de-escalation training as specified.
