Location: Minnetonka, MN 55345

Employment Type: W2 Contract – 6 Months with Possibility for Extensions

Pay Rate: $17.00–$18.75/hour – Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Shift: 2nd Shift

Work Model: Fully Onsite

Summary of the Position

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Operator I to join our client’s site in Minnetonka, MN . This role will support medical device manufacturing operations through the precision assembly of medical device components while following established procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

The Operator I will handle small parts, perform detailed assembly work, maintain accurate production documentation, and use electronic data collection systems. Depending on the assigned production line, the role may require microscope-based assembly and inspection for 50%–90% of the workday .

This position requires strong attention to detail, good hand dexterity, and the ability to consistently perform repetitive precision work in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine and repetitive medical device assembly operations according to established procedures and work instructions.
• Handle and maneuver small components and parts with precision.
• Perform microscope-based assembly and inspection for 50%–90% of the workday , depending on line assignment.
• Maintain accurate production, traveler, and quality documentation to ensure product and component traceability.
• Ensure documentation related to manufacturing cell operations is accurate and up to date.
• Utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software applications.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on applicable manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic production and equipment issues.
• Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate safety devices during all manufacturing activities.
• Prioritize work according to production sequencing, timing, importance, and operational needs.
• Identify and communicate production issues, concerns, and potential solutions to appropriate team members and manufacturing management.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, productivity, and product quality.
• Apply basic Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles .
• Support manufacturing cell goals and performance metrics.
• Collaborate effectively with team members through active listening, cooperation, flexibility, and problem-solving.
• Maintain professional and positive interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Follow applicable Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS) , and other regulatory requirements.

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to handle and maneuver small parts and components with precision .
• Ability to use a microscope for 50%–90% of the workday , depending on production line assignment.
• Ability to use electronic data collection systems and computer software applications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation.
• Ability to prioritize work based on production requirements.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
• Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to consistently perform routine and repetitive precision assembly activities.
• Ability to work 2nd shift onsite in Minnetonka, MN .

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in medical device manufacturing, regulated production, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Previous medical device assembly experience.
• Previous manufacturing, production, or precision assembly experience.
• Experience performing microscope-based assembly or inspection.
• Familiarity with regulated manufacturing documentation and product traceability requirements.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices .
