This high acuity ICU unit seeks dedicated registered nurses to provide direct patient care, monitor critically ill patients using advanced medical equipment, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. The role involves responding promptly to emergencies and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure quality patient outcomes. Job Details Certifications: Registered Nurse (Compact), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), CRRT experience. Education Requirements: Valid nursing license (Nursys License/Certificate Verification). Location Requirements: State-issued Driver's License/ID. Experience: Minimum of 1 year in ICU or relevant specialty required. Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week. Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care, monitoring critically ill patients with advanced medical equipment, administering medications and treatments, performing invasive procedures such as intubation and arterial blood draws, managing ventilator and life-support equipment, recognizing and responding to patient emergencies, documenting patient care accurately, and collaborating with healthcare team members. Additional Information: Precepting responsibilities may be required. The ICU is a 16-24 bed high acuity unit caring for complex adult patients within a supportive team environment, with a typical nurse to patient ratio of 1:2, occasional 1:1, and rare 1:3 based on acuity and staffing. The unit operates on a rotating schedule that may include every other weekend and rotating holidays.
